Touma and Nawal are 75 and 69 years old respectively. Touma is originally from Tyre in southern Lebanon. At the age of 18, he joined the army. He left the army when he married Nawal at 23. He then worked as a carpenter in Beirut. Together they had two children. Unfortunately, they have not heard from each other for many years. Following an accident at work in 2021, Touma had his right leg amputated. After that, he had to stop working. With age, both Nawal and Touma developed diabetes. This is the reason for Nawal's eye thrombosis. We help them with food and medicine, but the sponsorship we offer consists in financing only the food aid.
